Introduction

Began Bkeeping in 1971 here at Frog Hollow in north Westch Cnty NY. I had 3 mentors, old men teachers, each w 50+ yrs Bkeeking experience. I learned lots & enjoyed helping them in any ways I could. I'm grateful for their teaching. Enjoy passing it on

Additional Information

"Hoping to catch a swarm or two this Spring. Wild bees seem to be coming back. Building some hive boxes this winter. I've taken bees & hornets out of buildings for yrs. Hate those yellow jackets! Love to watch the bees work. Don't buy Chinese honey! "

  • Thank you for your greeting Steve. I am actually from Katonah and "NOT" NJ, odd that it would list me as a NJ resident. Nothing against NJ of course but I am a local gal. Nonetheless, I want to thank you for taking the time out to welcome me to the "Katonah Green & Beyond" group. I have been to other Meet-ups way back in the day around 5 or 6 years ago. Really glad they were started. It's a nice way to meet people. Hope to see you at the event in April. Take care!

  • Thanks for the greeting Steve. We have been so busy with the move that I had not checked back until today. Hope to meet you at one of the future meetups. Cheers!

  • Greetings Steve! I catalogued hymenopteran species richness and diversity in prairie restorations, native prairie, and degraded remnants in central and south east Nebraska. I used this as an indicator of restoration success and to help conservation organizations identify areas to invest their resources into conserving. I hope to make it to a meet up some day soon; fortunately, I just started a new job so my hours are all over the place. I hope we can meet soon. Perhapse the 22nd.

  • Hi Steve,
I left a message re: the Ford Workmaster 641 but it came back. I bought the tractor to do some bush hogging and plowing at my country house in the Catskills. I know a little bit about it from what I've read
but essentially I'm a dude. Jeff

  • Ausangate, Peru, last summer. We made camp at about 14000 ft and were already suffering from altitude sickness. We had planned to go higher but decided against it. Beautiful nonetheless.
